Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026 · App: Little Steps: Kids Learning (Android, package com.plycoder.littlesteps)
Little Steps: Kids Learning is a learning app for children aged 3 to 8. It is designed to collect nothing. This policy explains what the app does with information, in plain words.
1. What we collect
Nothing. The app does not collect, send to any server, share or sell any personal or non-personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking and no in-app purchases.
2. Internet access
The app does not request Android’s internet permission and does not connect to the internet. All lessons, pictures, fonts and sounds are inside the app.
3. What stays on the device
The app saves the child’s stars, finished lessons, chosen language, chosen level and the grown-ups’ settings (sound, music, voice, calm motion) in a small file in the app’s private storage on the device. We never receive this file.
If Android’s own device backup is turned on, Android may include this file in the backup to your Google account or when moving to a new phone, so progress can be restored. That backup is managed by Android and your Google account, not by us.
4. Speech
Words and instructions are spoken by the text-to-speech engine already installed on the device (for example Google Speech Services). The app passes the words to be spoken to that engine on the device and prefers voices installed for offline use. The app never uses the microphone or the camera and never records audio.
The speech engine is a separate app with its own privacy policy. If a language has no offline voice installed, that engine may use its own online voice.
5. Children
Little Steps: Kids Learning is made for children and designed for Google Play’s Families programme. Because it collects no information at all, it collects no personal information from children. It contains no ads, no links that leave the app, no social features and no purchases. The grown-ups’ settings sit behind a check (a two-digit sum typed on a keypad).
6. Deleting data
Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove the progress saved on a device, use Reset progress in the grown-ups’ corner, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. See Delete data.
7. This website
littlesteps.tulx.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Like most web servers, ours keeps a short-lived technical log of page visits (address, time, page requested) to keep the service secure. It is deleted automatically and is not used to identify anyone.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date. If the app ever starts handling information differently, the policy will be updated before that version is released.
